Fit for a superhero…

As you may now from the podcast, I’ve been working on Stephen West’s Daybreak shawl:

Which still needs blocking but is done in plenty of time for Christmas. But I thought it was the perfect pattern to adapt for a spidey-sensed superhero:

Almost finished, and hopefully this will be a Spiderman Scarf for my nephew.

And if you followed my mitten obsession over on Twitter, you’ll know all about these:

The fabulous Mitaines & Moufles from Veronik Avery in the new Twist collective. Some seriously yummy mittens coming up…

Cool Spidey adaptation! No little superheroes in my family, but Spiderman knits were being discussed at a knit night I attended on Fri. and I was reminded of the free Spidey pattern from Kathleen Taylor. Imagine my surprise to find all of these:

Lovely color combo for the green/gray version. Omgsh! Your nephew is going to absolutely LOVE the Spidey version!

Nina from KnitPicks.com had another very cool take on this pattern. http://community.knitpicks.com/profiles/blogs/fraternal-twins

I’ve also had my eye on the Mitaines & Moufles mitten pattern… the yarn you are using does look very yummy! Can’t wait to see how they turn out. :-)
