Overe here in Hoxton Towers, I am super cosy thanks to these woolly creatures:

Yes, as mentioned last week, I have joined the masses and made myself an Ishbel in Malabrigo lace. This is the small version. I read on Ravelry that it’s possible to make it using one skein of Malabrigo if you follow the large size for the stockinette section and the small for the lace. But the overall size of the small version was just right for me, so I’ll have to find another use for the yarn I have left over. This is the softest thing I have ever owned and is therefore a little delicate and already turning into teddybear fur. But it’s brilliant for keeping cosy in the cold.

Then we have The Beast:

Grrr...
Yes this is my Cobblestone, by the excellent Jared Flood. I made the smallest men’s size in Texere’s Troon Tweed. It’s big, it’s warm, and in an emergency I could probably camp in it.

Now that I’m armed against the elements, it’s on with the (entirely manageable, non-scary, on schedule) Christmas knitting.

beautiful colour choice for your Ishbel, I am now tempted by the malabrigo lace. Good luck for your Christmas knitting !
Excellent Cobblestone! It looks so incredibly cozy… I know you mentioned that it’s the type of jumper you’d only wear camping or being lazy at home, but I could totally see rocking it with a pair of black leggings, swanky boots!
Beautiful work!
Your Ishbel is GORGEOUS! and with that Cobblestone, you are indeed armed against the elements. It looks beautiful!
Aw shucks, you’re all very kind. Foolproof patterns and yummy yarn – can’t go wrong.
Haven’t been over to the blog in awhile. Boy! You’ve been busy. Great looking projects.
Your Ishbel is LOVELY!!!
