Mirasol Mittens

My very lovely aunt, who not only knits but is a mean cook – one serious domestic goddess,  gave me a skein of Mirasol sockweight yarn in a very pretty bluey-purple shade at the weekend. (See, I told you she was lovely). Now, obviously, I don’t knit socks, so what to do? A quick scout through Ravelry (how did we ever live without this wondrous website?) and a pair of fingerless mittens was clearly the answer.

So here are the Envy Mitts, or rather one of them:

It’s an easy pattern which knits up quickly – I did the pair in a day – and you can find it on the Knittywhipped website over here. Perfect Bank Holiday knitting and now I’m all set for when the weather turns…
